Mapping the regional distribution of the Czech Republic in terms of the urgency of implementing adaptation measures in the landscape
The project focuses on multicriteria assessment and subsequent optimization of the spatial structure of windbreaks as effective adaptation measures to climate change with higher frequency of drought and critical wind speeds.
Solution period: 04/2024 - 03/2026
Objective of the project
The aim is to create a regionalization of the territory in the form of a regional typology of the entire Czech Republic (map & database) in terms of landscape vulnerability and the urgency of implementing adaptation measures in the landscape. The regional typology will be based on the analysis of a large set of input data and is based on the concept of environmental differentiation. The analyses will be carried out at a local scale.
Sub-objectives:
Identification of the most appropriate approaches to assess the urgency of adaptation measures and methods their integrationIdentification of appropriate datasets with respect to specified criteriaDevelopment of a methodological procedure for determining vulnerability for the whole Czech Republic in a detailed landscape scaleSeries of spatial analyses for individual vulnerability areasTechnology Agency of the Czech Republic
